One of the topics I sometimes talk about is religion.
I’m a Christian, born and raised Southern Baptist. The older I get, the more I have come to believe that some Southern Baptist churches have lost sight of their mission to serve as “fishers of men” by representing a God that is first and foremost a symbol of love, not division.
I belong to a church that is interdenominational, accepting of people whose church backgrounds vary considerably. What unites them is that they want to worship God, not the latest hot-button talking point. What a concept!
The old religion-oriented blog, The Cross Examination, was a spot where I would post pieces on a subject that some don’t want to talk about.
But religion is a subject that is important to me, so it belongs here.
All of the posts that appeared in the old Cross Examination blog, as well as newer ones that relate to the subject, can be found here.
