Saturday Six – Episode 183
This week, the ayes have it. Make that, the eyes.
But before we begin with the spooky questions, it was BookGal of “Books, Memes and Musings” who was first to play last week. Congratulations, BookGal!
Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal…but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! To be counted as “first to play,” you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. Enjoy!
1. When speaking to someone in person, how often do you look them directly in the eye?
2. How likely are you to notice another person’s eye color?
3. What color eyes does your closest friend have?
4. Take the quiz: What do your eyes reveal about you?
5. If you had the chance to permanently change the color of your eyes, and would never be able to change it back to your original color, would you change it? If so, from what color to what color?
6. If you were a candidate for Lasik® eye surgery, do you think you’d have the guts to go through with eye surgery?
If you have a Reader’s Choice question you’d like to see asked (and answered), send me an email! I’d love to be able to include it in a future edition of the Saturday Six.

Hi Patrick! I enjoyed this one very much. Here’s the link to my Saturday Six:

Hi Patrick:
Have a good weekend.
Jude
1. When speaking to someone in person, how often do you look them directly in the eye?
I look mainly at the face, only rarely directly in the eye.
2. How likely are you to notice another person’s eye color?
Not very, unless it is unusual or striking or I spend a lot of time with them or am spending a fair amount of close time with them.
3. What color eyes does your closest friend have?
Brown.
4. Take the quiz: What do your eyes reveal about you?
I took it, but it has nothing to do with your eyes, unless it is pretending to take a picture of your eye while the questions are meaningless.
5. If you had the chance to permanently change the color of your eyes, and would never be able to change it back to your original color, would you change it? If so, from what color to what color?
Maybe. I’d want a ‘preview’ before deciding. It’d probably be similar – green or blue – to what I already have, but just more defined – different ray structure in the eyes, maybe.
6. If you were a candidate for Lasik® eye surgery, do you think you’d have the guts to go through with eye surgery?
Yes, if I didn’t have to pay for it.
I’m up – a bit late today!
I’m up. What an interesting series of questions!
[...] Saturday Six: Episode 183 [...]
I’ll just say Dr. Deborah Tannen, one of very few full professors at Georgetown University, has research on gender differences in communication & eye contact is one of the differences! Women look at each other more when talking & are much closer to each other. I show her “He Said, She Said” video to my class. It explains why men think women nag them, why they will not stop for directions, Indirect & Directness, & so much more. Check out her website: http://www9.georgetown.edu/faculty/tannend/
My answers are posted here at The Daily Snooze.
Late as usual, but I’m up!
Mine are up…have a great Saturday!
Leave your response!
