Sunday Seven - Episode 135
Gas prices are on everyone’s minds these days, as they stay over the $3.00 mark. The high prices have some people going to any station that has the lowest price. But for others, brand loyalty is still important.
Brands of gasoline is this week’s topic.
- First to play last week: Paul of Aurora Walking Vacation. Congratulations!

I don’t know if I can name seven brands of Gasoline. Also, I don’t think I canm prioritise them either. I mean, really, is there any difference whatsover (regardless of what the TV ads tell us) between what comes out of the pumps of any major name brand station? Forthwith, find below a list of seven gasoline brands in order of which ones I think I fill up at most frequently, with no preference for one over another expressed or implied.
1) Petro Canada
2) Shell
3) Sunoco
4) Esso
5) Um…I’m scraping the bottom of the barrel here. The next two that come to mind are Gulf, and BP, but neither of those have existed in Canada for decades. Lessee, I have filled up on occasion at Pioneer, but I usually try to avoid it. Something about it I don’t trust.
6) Although Irving is mostly on the east coast, I’m pretty sure I’ve filled up at one at least once.
7) OK, fine, I’ll stoop to saying Canadian Tire Gas Bar, but only if I have a 6x Canadian Tire money coupon or something like that.
