Saturday Six – Episode 208

12 April 2008 6 Comments

I hope you’re having a great weekend so far. In case you’re looking for something to do, here’s a list of six questions to temporarily entertain you.

  • First to play last week: Cassie of This, That & The Other Thing. Congratulations!
(According to the rules, “First to Play” requires you to be the first to include the link to the specific entry in which you answered the questions, not just the general link to your blog.)

Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal…but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! To be counted as “first to play,” you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. Enjoy!

1. In terms of motivation, what gets you out of bed in the morning?

2. If you could sleep without having to get up at your normal time, how much later than that would you sleep on your own?

3. How often do you take a nap? If your office made napping a legitimate option, would you take advantage of it?

4. Take the quiz: Are you lazy?

5. Other than your bed, where in your home are you most likely to take a comfortable nap?

6. When was the last time you took a workday off so that you could lie around the house doing absolutely nothing for the whole day? Would you be likely to schedule such a day in the next three months?

If you have a Reader’s Choice question you’d like to see asked (and answered), send me an email! I’d love to be able to include it in a future edition of the Saturday Six.

    1. In terms of motivation, what gets you out of bed in the morning?

I have to pay the bills and get on with life.

    2. If you could sleep without having to get up at your normal time, how much later than that would you sleep on your own?

    About 3 hours.

    3. How often do you take a nap? If your office made napping a legitimate option, would you take advantage of it?

Once in a while, and yes.

    4. Take the quiz: Are you lazy?

It said I’m a Busy Bee. My mom is the real Busy Bee when it comes to days off of work – her version of “Oh, I didn’t really do anything today, I just….” and then she lists more things than I often do in a “busy” day.

    5. Other than your bed, where in your home are you most likely to take a comfortable nap?

    No other place really works.

    6. When was the last time you took a workday off so that you could lie around the house doing absolutely nothing for the whole day? Would you be likely to schedule such a day in the next three months?

I can’t remember, maybe sometime in the last few years, but not in the past year. Probably not in the next three months, but the thought does occasionally occur to me!

    Hi Patrick :)

    Here are my answers…

    1. Elvis. He wakes me when he feels I have been in bed long enough. LOL. Actually he has a pretty good internal clock, he wakes me around 7.

    2. It depends. When my Fibromyalgia is acting up, I can sleep up to 17 hours a day. If all is well, I don’t usually sleep past my normal time. I try to get at least 7 hours of sleep.

    3. I don’t nap all that often, if I do, I set the alarm to go off in 20 minutes. I have heard that is a healthy time to recoop.

    4. I am a ‘Busy Bee” :)

    5. In the summer I like to sleep by the pool after swimming.

    6. Well, it’s kind of difficult for a housewife to take a day off to lounge. LOL. I guess it last day I was completely away from home while kicking back was last October while we were on vacation. It was nice.

Have a good week nice man.

    Always, Carly

    1. In terms of motivation, what gets you out of bed in the morning?

During the week, my job motivates me to get out of bed. If I don’t go to work then I don’t get paid…I like money more than sleep. LOL Too bad I can’t get paid to sleep.

    2. If you could sleep without having to get up at your normal time, how much later than that would you sleep on your own?

I would sleep at least two hours (or more if I can get by with it).

    3. How often do you take a nap? If your office made napping a legitimate option, would you take advantage of it?

I don’t get a chance to nap ofter but I love napping! But I like to sleep hehe. I would take advantage of it if my office made napping a legitimate option. A power nap during the day would make the work day go much faster and easier.

    4. Take the quiz: Are you lazy?

The results: “You are a total busy bee! Your life is filled with too much to do, and you feel like you have to do ALL of it! Gotta make the bed, mow the lawn, run these errands, cook dinner! When will the madness stop! You need to take a serious relaxation day and don’t worry about ANYTHING! That’s right, leave that bed unmade, go to a nice restaurant for dinner. You deserve and need this. And I promise, it won’t hurt! : )”

    5. Other than your bed, where in your home are you most likely to take a comfortable nap?

I love taking a nap on my couch. It is very comfortable.

    6. When was the last time you took a workday off so that you could lie around the house doing absolutely nothing for the whole day? Would you be likely to schedule such a day in the next three months?

I have not done that for awhile. I need to do it again soon…and it will be within the next three months.
