Saturday Six - Episode 217
There is still a lot of shock over the sudden death of NBC newsman Tim Russert. This week’s edition will cover that loss and heart health.
- First to play last week: Connie of c’est 黃康女. Congratulations!
(According to the rules, “First to Play” requires you to be the first to include the link to the specific entry in which you answered the questions, not just the general link to your blog.)
Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal…but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! To be counted as “first to play,” you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. Enjoy!
1. Do you think Tim Russert was among the greatest or worst political reporters?
2. What television public affairs/political program did you watch most often?
3. If you were running for office, would you think you’d feel any apprehension about being interviewed by a reporter like Russert?
4. Take the quiz: Do you know the facts about heart attacks? Count your correct responses: how many of the seven questions did you answer correctly?
5. When did you last get a check-up from your physician: are you overdue for a check-up?
6. Where do you stand on the popular issue of exercise: do you think you get too much or not enough? Are you any more inspired by Russert’s passing to change this?
If you have a Reader’s Choice question you’d like to see asked (and answered), send me an email! I’d love to be able to include it in a future edition of the Saturday Six.

1. Do you think Tim Russert was among the greatest or worst political reporters?
I don’t know who he was. He looks vaguely familiar, but that’s all.
2. What television public affairs/political program did you watch most often?
I don’t like those kind of television shows.
3. If you were running for office, would you think you’d feel any apprehension about being interviewed by a reporter like Russert?
I’m guessing he’s aggressive? I don’t like when people twist words to put forward their own ideas or judgments.
4. Take the quiz: Do you know the facts about heart attacks? Count your correct responses: how many of the seven questions did you answer correctly?
6/7
5. When did you last get a check-up from your physician: are you overdue for a check-up?
Last June. Scheduled for next month.
6. Where do you stand on the popular issue of exercise: do you think you get too much or not enough? Are you any more inspired by Russert’s passing to change this?
I think I don’t get enough. Since I don’t know him, I don’t see how his death would affect me too much.

Well, being non-american I have to skip today. I don’t even know the guy.
Have a nice weekend.

Since I was away last weekend, I will answer the questions here.
1. Do you think Tim Russert was among the greatest or worst political reporters?
He was very good but I think only time will tell.
2. What television public affairs/political program did you watch most often?
I do not watch any of them, however, that does not mean that I am not interested in politics. I am very active in the political process.
3. If you were running for office, would you think you’d feel any apprehension about being interviewed by a reporter like Russert?
No, I think I would do very well being interviewed by a reporter like Russert. Mainly because I have been interviewed by the news media and if you know where to look, you would find my interview on the web.
4. Take the quiz: Do you know the facts about heart attacks? Count your correct responses: how many of the seven questions did you answer correctly?
I got all seven out of seven right.
My father had a heart attack that started around eleven at night and he waited until seven in the morning to call me instead of the ambulance, he didn’t want to wake me.
Please, if you think you are having a heart attack call 911, don’t call a family members, don’t worry what the neighbors will think. Call
5. When did you last get a check-up from your physician: are you overdue for a check-up?
By my GP – last September
By my dermatologist – last December
By my endocrinologist – last February
6. Where do you stand on the popular issue of exercise: do you think you get too much or not enough? Are you any more inspired by Russert’s passing to change this?
I should exercise more; I try to walk every Sunday for at least two hours.
