Sunday Seven – Episode 147
You’ve heard Pringle’s Potato Chips’ advertising slogan, “Once you pop, you can’t, you can’t, you can’t stop.” There are several foods like this for me: once I have a taste, I just can’t stop until it’s all gone, or until I go through a phase of having entirely too much of it too often.
I’m sure I’m not the only one when it comes to certain foods.
So I encourage all of you to answer the question, then push yourselves away from the table, or out of that far-too-comfortable easy chair, and exercise for a little while today!
- First to play last week: Otowi of Otowi. Congratulations!
THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:
Name seven foods that are tasty enough to wreck your diet.
Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered “first to play,” a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.) You may include this link in the URL space when leaving your comment, or in the comment itself. As long as it’s there in one spot or the other.
My Answers:
1. Doritos
2. Blue Bunny Bunny Tracks Ice Cream
3. Cheetos
4. Tortilla Chips with Guacamole
5. Cheese Fries (particularly Outback’s)*
6. Hardee’s Monster Burger*
7. Carrot Cake
*I’ve actually had to eliminate #5 and #6 completely from my diet, because they’re so addictive. I haven’t had either in more than a year and a half, and I don’t miss them as much as I thought I would. Now if I could just eliminate #1 and #2….

Hey, Patrick– haven’t taken the time to do this in a ages. Since you’ve eaten at our house quite a few times, you’ll know why this “Seven” really speaks to me. Heh, heh.
1. Pasta-anything. Most especially homemade manicotti or a really rich Alfredo made with imported Parmigiano Reggiano and a good Asiago.
2. Stuffed potatoes…capiche?
3. New Orleans’ Style BBQ shrimp
4. I’m with you on Outback’s cheese fries.
5. Maggiano’s fried zucchini
6. Napoli’s eggplant parmesan
7. Prosciutto and melon
All the above with a big glass of dry red…
I played along

Have a great Sunday!
Hi Patrick
Well, to be honest, I have to keep myself in check because of my Type 2 Diabetes, so I am a good girl most of the time, but here are some of my very favorite guilty pleasures, enjoyed in moderation of course.
Shhhh… don’t tell!
1. Cinnamon Frosted Pecans
2. Cheesecake
3. Peanut Butter
4. Doritos Cool Ranch
5. TGI Friday’s Potato Skins
6. Red Robin French Fries dipped in real mayonnaise
7. Kellogg’s Apple Jacks
(I like dry cereal as a snack sometimes) LOL.
Have a good week nice man.

Made the entry earlier and forgot to inform you. Sorry about that. Take care.
Ok, now I’m hungry. Mine’s up: http://jottingsfromjersey.blogspot.com/2008/06/sunday-seven.html
