‘Disturbingly’ Similar?
Silly me…I thought Disturbia was intended to be a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. Apparently it wasn’t, although a lawsuit by the writer of the story on which Rear Window was based says the plot of Disturbia was a ripoff of his story. Hitchcock bought the rights to make his movie; a lawsuit says that the makers of Disturbia left that little detail off their “to do” list. It’ll be interesting to see how this one turns out.
