The United States Supreme Court is planning to decide whether to hear a last-ditch appeal by Troy Davis, who was convicted of shooting a police officer to death in the parking lot of a Burger King in Savannah. That decision is scheduled to be made on September 29th. Unfortunately, that’s six days after the state of Georgia will have put him to death.
