The ‘25 Things’ Thing
I’m sure that not only have most of you already heard about the “25 Things About Me” meme that’s been getting so much attention on Facebook, but that most of you have already done it, too.
Come on, tell me I’m wrong! Some of you have done it even though you aren’t even on Facebook!
I did an earlier version a while back. At the time, it was just “16 Things About Me.” My, how inflation is hitting us these days!
A friend of mine whom I used to work with recently completed his list. He didn’t stop at 25. He did 35. One of his indicated that he tended to be an over-achiever. I’m glad he told me…I wouldn’t have known otherwise.
But seriously, folks, have you done the ‘25 Things’ thing, yet? Is it something you would do if you were asked? Or would you just sit that one out and let everyone else embarrass themselves?
(If you’ve done it and posted on your blog, leave a link. It could start a whole new wave!)

I haven’t because I’ve told everything there is to tell about myself in my blog. Anyone who’s interested already knows far more than they want to about me, I would imagine.
By the way, I’ve seen it done as “100 things about me”.
Yeah, I got sucked in – Facebook and through the Blog world.

I tend to avoid trends in order to look like I’m not a bandwagon-jumper until I finally give in. I did it first on my blog before making a whole new version for Facebook (not linked to my blog). The first item on my FB version was “I hate these memes, especially the ones that spread around Facebook.” Item number two proudly stated, “I am also a huge hypocrite.” And then I tacked on another meme that was spreading around because posting two individual ones just seemed to shameful.
I might hate myself a little, especially since I got wordier than most other people.
This is what I get for hitting “submit comment” before thinking my thought through. I did see a version where someone posted 25 rants/personal pet peeves. Which, admittedly, mine started to turn into about halfway in.
Leave your response!
