Saturday Six – Episode 283
This week, the Saturday Six is going to the dogs! It’s a pet-themed set of questions, and since I’m a dog person, the questions are pretty much related to dogs.
If you’re a cat person, the questions still apply: I tried to avoid questions that could only work for dog owners.
If you’re not a pet person at all, then pretend!
- First to play last week: Carly of Ellipsis…. Congratulations!
(According to the rules, “First to Play” requires you to be the first to include the link to the specific entry in which you answered the questions, not just the general link to your blog.)
Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal…but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! To be counted as “first to play,” you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. Enjoy!
1. A friend of yours goes grocery shopping with you and goes to the meat department and buys a small pack of fresh ground chuck. You ask what she’s going to cook for dinner and she explains that the chuck is for her dog. How would you react?
2. Another friend dares you to eat a dog biscuit: would you give it a try?
3. Vets usually recommend more expensive brands of food for pets. How much of a difference do you think there would really be between a brand you could pick up in a store or a specialty brand?
4. Take the quiz: Who’s Happier: You or Your Pet?
5. Who has more toys: your pets or you?
6. Whose bed do you think is more comfortable to sleep on, yours or your pet’s?
If you have a Reader’s Choice question you’d like to see asked (and answered), send me an email! I’d love to be able to include it in a future edition of the Saturday Six.

My answers are posted here…

I’m up. Since you mentioned bed, maybe I’ll go back and try to get another couple of hours since I’ve got a long day ahead for the 6 hours of rest I got in preparation…sigh.
1. A friend of yours goes grocery shopping with you and goes to the meat department and buys a small pack of fresh ground chuck. You ask what shes going to cook for dinner and she explains that the chuck is for her dog. How would you react?
I would ask her if she’s lost her mind.
2. Another friend dares you to eat a dog biscuit: would you give it a try?
For money, sure. For free…depends on the flavour.
3. Vets usually recommend more expensive brands of food for pets. How much of a difference do you think there would really be between a brand you could pick up in a store or a specialty brand?
There is a considerable difference. Those store brands are really not good for your pet.
4. Take the quiz: Whos Happier: You or Your Pet?
“Your Pet is Happier Than You.”
5. Who has more toys: your pets or you?
I do.
6. Whose bed do you think is more comfortable to sleep on, yours or your pets?
Mine…that’s why the cats sleep on it too.
1. A friend of yours goes grocery shopping with you and goes to the meat department and buys a small pack of fresh ground chuck. You ask what she’s going to cook for dinner and she explains that the chuck is for her dog. How would you react?
Depends is she going to COOK it for the dog or give the dog raw meat. Now if she’s cooking it, I would just smile cuz’ I spoil my animals (used to give my dog cooked food .. well “left overs” before I actually put the meal on the table.)
2. Another friend dares you to eat a dog biscuit: would you give it a try?
When I was 13 that happened, I took a bite but that’s all.. I can’t believe I’m letting people know this
3. Vets usually recommend more expensive brands of food for pets. How much of a difference do you think there would really be between a brand you could pick up in a store or a specialty brand?
I know there is a big difference in some. I had a cat that had diareha (SP?) and the vet suggested switching his food to a more expensive brand, I did and the cat was fine after that.
4. Take the quiz: Who’s Happier: You or Your Pet?
Your Pet is Happier Than You
Your pet is carefree, accepting, and downright blissful. And that’s true happiness.
There’s a lot that you can learn from your pet about life. You just need to take the simple approach.
Your pet can teach you how learn to relax and play more. Your pet doesn’t have a trouble in the world.
Life is only as hard as you make it. Your pet has learned how to live an easy life, and there’s no reason you can’t do the same
5. Who has more toys: your pets or you?
well my cat is about 20 years old and he doesn’t play much anymore so he has only a few toys, I have more
6. Whose bed do you think is more comfortable to sleep on, yours or your pet’s?
Umm we share my bed,so this question doesn’t apply
