Saturday Six – Episode 289

24 October 2009 3 Comments

Here’s a new set of Saturday Six questions that might just make you hungry!

It’s all about ethnic food, of any variety. My most unusual recent experience with ethnic food was with my close friends Archie and Rebekah in California. During my last visit there, along with Archie’s brother Sam, we had dinner in a very nice Thai restaurant in San José where they serve an iced orange tea with a heavy cream inside. It’s odd, and it takes some definite getting used to, but once you do, it’s quite tasty. The fact that it was consumed while in the presence of some awesome friends certainly helped, too!

So get your food memories going and have fun this week!

  • First to play last week: Diana of Diana’s Little Corner in the Nutmeg State. Congratulations!
  • (According to the rules, “First to Play” requires you to be the first to include the link to the specific entry in which you answered the questions, not just the general link to your blog.)

Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal…but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! Permission is not granted to copy the questions to message boards for the purpose of having members answer and play along there. Enjoy!

1. What is the most unusual ethnic food you’ve had at a restaurant recently?

2. What is the last ethnic dish you tried to make at home?

3. Regarding your answer to question 2, was your concoction better or worse than you’d hoped?

4. What exotic dish do you most wish you could replicate in your own kitchen?

5. Take the quiz: Which What Kind of Chinese Food Are You?

6. Have you ever tried the dish mentioned in the answer to question 5?

If you have a Reader’s Choice question you’d like to see asked (and answered), send me an email! I’d love to be able to include it in a future edition of the Saturday Six.
