To celebrate the release of Windows 7, Burger King restaurants in Japan are offering something special to their first 30 customers of the day:  a Septuple Whopper.  (They’re not calling it that, exactly, but that’s what it is:  seven patties between two buns.)

At 2,100 calories, it’s a full day’s calories in one sandwich, french fries, soft drink and dessert not even considered.

With the complaints Microsoft had about its Vista operating system — yeah, yeah, I’m a Mac guy, but we all know there were complaints about Vista — one might wonder if all those calories and cholesterol are an omen about Windows 7’s performance on PCs.

I hope Burger King in America doesn’t pull such an unhealthy stunt.  It’s nice knowing that for once, a ridiculously hi-cal meal is available somewhere other than the South!
