Saturday Six – Episode 290
Though I’m sure I’ve asked Halloween-themed Saturday Six questions before, this is the first time since this blog began that Halloween actually fell on a Saturday. So I couldn’t possibly ignore the holiday this time around!
- First to play last week: Mika of Mika Salakka. Congratulations!
(According to the rules, “First to Play” requires you to be the first to include the link to the specific entry in which you answered the questions, not just the general link to your blog.)
Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal…but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! Permission is not granted to copy the questions to message boards for the purpose of having members answer and play along there. Enjoy!
1. We’ll start with a trivia question, and just for fun, no searching for the answer: it should be a guess! There’s only one day of the week that Halloween hasn’t fallen on since this blog began. What day of the week would you guess that is? (I’ll reveal the answer on Monday!)
2. Would you dress a pet up for halloween? Do you think yours would enjoy it or hate it?
3. (And yes, I realize this is a potentially-loaded question!) Should news anchors on shows like Today dress up on the air for Halloween, or should they stick to news only?
4. If you were to buy only one kind of candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters, and that candy happened to be your favorite, what would end up filling your candy bowl?
5. Over at the newly-redesigned CNN.com, there’s a halloween quiz about famous movie quotes. Take the quiz: How well did you do?
6. What horror movie theme music do you think is the scariest?
If you have a Reader’s Choice question you’d like to see asked (and answered), send me an email! I’d love to be able to include it in a future edition of the Saturday Six.

1. Sunday?
2. I would if I had a dog that I thought could keep it on. I keep trying to get my mom to dress hers up.
3. I’d say it depends. For the fluffy morning or noon shows, sure. If they’re going to be reporting on something like 9/11, I’d say no.
4. Special Dark.
5. Surprisingly 7/10, but some were lucky guesses.
6. It’s not a movie, but the X-files theme is nice and creepy, and so was The Twilight Zone theme.

1. Tuesday.
2. I don’t have pets…nor would I. HOWEVER. If I had too. I would dress it up as a BAT or a PUMPKIN. lol reminds me of the Grinch that Stole Christmas. Where he dressed up the Doggie as a reindeer total fail.
3. (And yes, I realize this is a potentially-loaded question!) Should news anchors on shows like Today dress up on the air for Halloween, or should they stick to news only? News only – because a lot of people don’t celebrate Halloween… it can be a cultural/belief thing. So I think networks should respect it but it doesn’t hurt to add a dash of the festivities.
4. HAhahaa…. most likely : ferrero rocher, lindor or something simple like Twix.
5. >>>”7 out of 10 questions correct” – A demon -loving dilettante — you’re a true child of the night<<< I love movies…I even watch scary ones even if they freak me out lol I’m so strange….
6. The one that goes “HAaha – cho cho choo” lol failure fail. I can’t find link or whatever this will have to do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgXtEpX-mOU
