In the most recent edition of the Sunday Seven, I asked readers to make a guess at the seven top categories on this blog. Four days later, no one has made an attempt, which means that either no one wants to guess or no one cares.

The Missing Day

The Missing Day

In this week’s Saturday Six, I posed the following question:

There’s only one day of the week that Halloween hasn’t fallen on since this blog began. What day of the week would you guess that is?

For those who weren’t motivated to look it up, I wanted to be sure to post the answer.

The very first edition of the Saturday Six was posted on April 17, 2004.  That year, Halloween was on a Sunday.  In 2005, it was Monday.  Halloween was on Tuesday in 2006 and on Wednesday in 2007.  Then along came 2008, a leap year, that threw a wrench into that nice little progression, causing Halloween to fall on a Friday.  With it falling on Saturday this year, that means that Thursday is the only day since this blog made its debut that hasn’t hosted the ghoulish holiday.

But no worries:  I’m reliably informed that the year 2013 will rectify this little oversight.  The big question is, will I still find a way to come up with that many questions week by week by then?

As the saying goes, only time will tell!
