None. They were all pretty uniform.

I don’t have one. Never caught one on fire or anything. However, my father’s an alcoholic, so when you take the tree out of the equation, I can think of some stories.

When I was a kid it was real, but when we grew up it has always been artificial.

It was a family tradition to decorate the tree with pretty much everything we had – kid made ornaments, etc. I’ve seen the really formal trees and they’re nice but they’re not family trees, imho.

I wouldn’t do it in my family because I know my mom wouldn’t like it – she’s the type of person that gets annoyed that people put up decorations too early and the day after Christmas she is putting everything away. So there wouldn’t be much point in getting her ornaments (which she doesn’t put on the tree anymore anyway – now it is just lights). But if it were a tradition in someone’s family I think it could be neat as well as relatively inexpensive.
