1. Would you describe your desk as generally cluttered or generally neat? Cluttered. 2. There’s the old saying about one’s clutter being “organized” just where he can find everything: considering the most cluttered part of your workspace, can you really find everything easily? Yes, for the most part, a place for everything and everything in its place; it just happens that most of those things are go in the same place. 3. You have an important appointment to remember: where’s the first place you’re likely to make note of it: on a desk calendar, your computer, or your phone? If I am at home, I add it to Outlook, which syncs with my Live Calendar automatically and also reminds me via text message later. If I am out and about, I text message it to RTM (Remember The Milk) which will also text message me a reminder, should I forget. Basically, though, my Live Calendar keeps track of these things, and I can access it via Outlook at home or via web elsewhere. 4. Take the quiz: What Does Your Desk Say About You? I am a Creative Worker. 5. How many personal photos do you have on your desk, and who are the photos of? I don't tend to keep photos on my desk. If I did, they'd be of my wife. 6. Is your desk too big for you, too little, or just right? It is too little, definitely. I had a much larger desk not long ago, but we had decided that it's not going to be able to survive our next move, which may be soon, so it was time to get rid of it. I have a small interim desk that's basically nothing more than a computer desk with no drawers or anything. It's alright, though, as a temporary solution. It is extremely cluttered... Yes, for the most part, a place for everything and everything in its place; it just happens that most of those things are go in the same place.
