I would pass for the same reason I've avoided laser surgery to correct my eyesight. No matter how much testing they do or how well they do it, they can't know the long term (10, 15,20 year) effects of these surgeries. I'd rather have poor eyesight than risk having none at all.

Interesting idea but I think I'd pass. I'm just afraid I would be that one person who was blinded because of the procedure or something!

Of course, I already have gray eyes which sometimes look blue so perhaps it's not fair for me to say. I always wanted green eyes, however.

I like my green "Irish eyes" so I wouldn't make any changes. My 95-year old Mom has the same color and hers still sparkle.

I have to admit, that is incredibly tempting. The safety factor would definitely be an issue, but if that was truly proven to be safe, I'd do it in a hot second. I had blue contacts many years ago and other than that whole thing of jamming my finger into my eye and having to sit there with tearing eyes for much too long (this was really along the lines of eye trauma anytime I wanted to wear them), they really looked great! They made my skin look better and my eyes really looked a rich, deep blue.

Brown is such a blah colour that I wouldn't think twice to do it. I would look at green as a possibility but the blue worked wonders before and is proven on me. The only thing that would be interesting is going to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Division to change my drivers license to reflect that change! Hopefully this doc gives one a card to make changes to those forms of I.D. that require eye colour to be on there - DLs, EMT cert, United States Passport, United States work visa/green card, etc. I can easily see this becoming a problem right away.
