Yes, when I read “policy review,” my eyes immediately glazed over. But upon thinking about it, I realized that this was something I really should do. So I decided to make it fun.
Today’s reading involves reviewing your existing blog guidelines or practices — or, if you don’t yet have any, to create them.
I’ve had a “Terms of Service” page for quite some time. It was copied from a source that listed examples of reasonable terms of service pages for bloggers to use. But it was fairly heavy in legalese and wasn’t exactly all that reader-friendly.
There were no “parties of the first parts” mentioned, but it was only about a notch or two below that level of contract talk. So I decided to simplify things a bit. My new page, which is now called Rules rather than Terms of Service.
I chopped an incredibly long page — hey, it seemed like a good idea at the time — to two sections: five basic “rules” followed by my 10 Commandments of Commenting.
Give it a read and let me know what you think!

LOVE your Rules!! I suppose stealing them wholesale for my blogs would be in bad form? Yeah. Still, they are awesome.
