I miss the budweiser frogs, but many of the ones above are also ones that I really like as well!
Last week, I gave my picks for all-time favorite Super Bowl commercials prior to this year’s game. That post was easy, because I had several years’ worth of spots to work with.
So, now that we have another big showdown under our belts, it’s time to figure out which ones made the favorites list for this year alone. The new challenge is to find the best from this one year’s selection.
Here’s a list of the best spots as selected by AdMeter: I encourage you to have a look and post your favorites!
7 Favorite 2013 Super Bowl Commercials
1. Anheuser-Busch: Brotherhood

I agree that this one was the best of the lot, and it still chokes me up when I watch it, even though I’ve seen it more than a dozen times.
2. Taco Bell: Viva Young

Who says old folks don’t know how to party?
3. Doritos: Goat for Sale

I’m surprised this one didn’t rank higher on the scale. It isn’t as funny as the older spot with the dog who bribes its owner to keep the secret of what happened to the cat secret, but it’s still an entertaining spot.
4. Tide: Miracle Stain

This one really goes from mildly entertaining to hilariously funny with the wife’s final comment.
5. Kia: Space Babies

The writers of this spot clearly had a ball with the script…making use of sexual-sounding words and phrases like, “shoot off,” “penetrate” and “release” while creating a spot about parents trying to not talk about sex.
6. Jeep: Whole Again

This one combines a well-performed script and beautiful images to really tug at the heartstrings.
7. Audi: Prom

You gotta admit: that was bravery.
So here’s your chance. To play along, list your answers in a comment with this post, or post them on your own blog and comment here with the link to your post. That way more people get to see your blog!
