Next Bloggab (7/22): Finding Blogging Advice & Resources

Last Updated on January 6, 2019

Bloggab is a weekly chat devoted to personal blogging. Join us each Tuesday night at 9pm ET to talk about a variety of topics. Follow @patricksplace and @bloggab and be sure to be ready to chat every Tuesday.

We had a great chat last week with special guest Stephanie Berbara, who recently rebranded her website with a new focus. The topic last week, in case you missed it, was “When it’s time for a change.” And here’s the transcript for that chat.

Change is going to be an ongoing theme for the next few weeks at Bloggab, because in contemplating the participation rate, I’m wondering if some changes aren’t needed for the chat as well.

Tonight, we’re going to talk about blogging advice and resources that are out there. Chats like Bloggab are great because they involve regular, established gatherings of people just like you who are in the same boat and are often looking for the same answers as you share what you’ve learned with each other.

There are also plenty of great websites out there that offer suggestions and resources for bloggers.

But which ones do you find are the most useful?

We’re not asking you to give away any “trade secrets”&nbsp here, but if you’ve stumbled across a great resource for bloggers that you wouldn’t mind sharing with the rest of us, or if you’re hoping to hear which gems others have found, tonight’s Bloggab is for you.

I’ll also have an announcement about a new way Bloggab folks can connect with each other and (hopefully) keep the conversations going outside of our regular Tuesday night meeting time.

I think you’ll find it very interesting, and I hope you’ll join us!

If you’ve never been part of a Twitter chat, it’s simple: it requires a Twitter account, which should be obvious. You can then use sites like Nurph, Twubs, Tweetchat or Tweetdeck; they’ll ask you to log in to your Twitter account, then allow them to authorize their service to post for you. You’ll then enter the name of the chat, in this case, “Bloggab”, and the services will filter in all tweets that contain that hashtag. And you can type your message and the services will automatically add the hashtag for you, so there’s one less thing for you to worry about!

I hope you’ll join us for Bloggab Tuesday (7/15) at 9pmET!
#Bloggab may be one of them.
