I received one follow-up question to last week’s edition of the Mailbag and an answer I gave about taking commercial breaks in live shows.
I said that in a live program, commercial breaks didn’t always air at a specified time and that occasionally talent talks a little too much, requiring the breaks to air a little later than normal.
I received this anonymous question:
Why is it that on some shows like Today, they interrupt people in mid-sentence to air a weather update?
