The opinions expressed by the author are solely his opinions, and do not represent those of any other individual or any broadcast station, owner, network or other media organization, including the author’s employer. No attempt is made to speak for any broadcast outlet in any way.

The author is not authorized to serve as a spokesman for the television station and/or media company that owns it, and therefore makes no attempt to do so.

The author takes great pains to conceal the specific company for which he works, referring to it as “Channel 37.” There is no broadcast station operating on UHF channel 37 in the United States; it is the equivalent of the telephone prefix 555, which is largely unused by the public and thereby utilized in certain circumstances to avoid a real, existing telephone number. The concealment of the actual company the author works for is done to avoid the appearance of favoring any one station; the author makes every attempt to be fair when addressing topics relating to media, and specifically, the television industry.

While the author works in the television industry, he is not in a position of authority to design or dictate how legitimate news coverage is executed, including but not limited to decisions involving whether or not to cover specific events, angles of stories, and persons selected for interviews or source material. The author’s personal opinions, therefore, are completely separate from the news operations of the television station and media organizations he is employed by or with which he is in any way affiliated.

The author reserves the right to edit or remove comments that contain inaccurate or potentially-libelous information, contain inappropriate content, or advertise sites that contain inappropriate content, and the author will determine the standards that make content inappropriate.

For the most part, I will allow comments that appear to come from real people if they are reasonable, clear and on-topic. I do not allow comments that appear to come from websites or institutions, nor do I allow comments that appear to be spam.  If you attempt to disguise your hyperlink by displaying one address but taking the reader to a different one, your comment will be considered spam.  If your URL does not resolve as a valid webpage, your comment will be considered spam.
