Saturday Six #482

saturday six

I hope you had a great July 4th and paused to be thankful for what we have in this country, despite all of its problems. This week’s Saturday Six focuses on holiday celebrations.

So let’s play!

Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your blog… But don’t forget to leave a link to your blog so that everyone else can visit! Permission is not granted to copy the questions to message boards for the purpose of having members answer and play along there. Enjoy!

1. Which holiday are you most likely to spend outdoors?

2. What’s your favorite cookout food?

3. Which cookout food could you do without?

4. Which holidays do you think are appropriate to celebrate with fireworks?

5. Which holidays do you wish weren’t celebrated with fireworks?

6. Which holiday is the last one for which you threw a party yourself?

Thanks for playing this week’s Saturday Six and I hope you’ll be back next week!

  1. 1. Which holiday are you most likely to spend outdoors?
    The Rapture.
    2. What’s your favorite cookout food?
    Burgers.
    3. Which cookout food could you do without?
    Sausages.
    4. Which holidays do you think are appropriate to celebrate with fireworks?
The winter ones. When it’s dark and cold and depressing, they can be uplifting.
    5. Which holidays do you wish weren’t celebrated with fireworks?
I don’t really care. I rarely watch them for more than two minutes. Once you’ve seen a few of them, you have seen them all.
    6. Which holiday is the last one for which you threw a party yourself?
I guess the last Christmas I spent married.

  2. 1. July 4
    2. Steaks
    3. Hot dogs
    4. July 4
    5. All of the days before/after July 4 that my neighbors shoot off fireworks and scare my dog.
    6. July 4! We live outside the city limits, so we have a big party every year.

  3. I’m up: http://sweetmemes.blogspot.com/2013/07/patricks-place.html and my answers include a rant on the noise going on outside my house right now. This is why I’m glad I left town for the 4th this year!! …grrr 🙁

  4. Mine are up. http://strangedaysandnights.blogspot.com/2013/07/saturday-six-july-6-2013.html
Have a nice weekend and stay cool, everyone!  (It’s going to be in the 90s and humid up here all weekend.  Yuck!)
