For this week’s question, you’ll want to take out a piece of paper, and write down, in your normal handwriting, the following passage:
“You’re traveling through another dimension — a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s a signpost up ahead: your next stop: the Twilight Zone!”
I’m sure you know that this is one of the early introductions Rod Serling wrote for his series, The Twilight Zone. I needed a random passage and that one seemed better than most options that came to mind.
Now that you have written this, sign your name as you typically do on legal documents below that passage.
Now you’re ready to answer the questions below.
- First to play last week: Jude of “My Way.” Congratulations!
(According to the rules, “First to Play” requires you to be the first to include the link to the specific entry in which you answered the questions, not just the general link to your blog.)
Here are this week’s “Saturday Six” questions. Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal…but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! To be counted as “first to play,” you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. Enjoy!
1. Do you tend to write in manuscript, cursive, or a combination of the two?
2. When you were learning how to write in school, which letter gave you the most trouble?
3. If you could redesign any cursive letter, which would you choose and why?
4. Do you consider your handwriting to be more neat or less neat than the average person’s?
5. When you sign your normal signature, roughly what percentage of the letters in your name (as you sign it) are clearly legible?
6. Take one more quiz: What does your handwriting say about you?
If you have a Reader’s Choice question you’d like to see asked (and answered), send me an email! I’d love to be able to include it in a future edition of the Saturday Six.
1. Do you tend to write in manuscript, cursive, or a combination of the two?
A combination of the two.
2. When you were learning how to write in school, which letter gave you the most trouble?
Actually it was the number 6, I sometimes wrote it backward in 1st grade.
3. If you could redesign any cursive letter, which would you choose and why?
Capital Q – it looks too much like a 2 and not enough like the lower-case.
4. Do you consider your handwriting to be more neat or less neat than the average person’s?
Less.
5. When you sign your normal signature, roughly what percentage of the letters in your name (as you sign it) are clearly legible?
20%
6. Take one more quiz: What does your handwriting say about you?
You are a fairly energetic person. You know how do pace yourself, and you deal well with stress.
You are somewhat outgoing, but you’re not a natural extrovert. You think first before you act. You tend to be independent, rational, and logical.
You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.
You need a bit of space in your life, but you’re not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.
You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart.
Here is mine. Posting a little late. Thought this was a very interesting Saturday Six. Thanks!
My answers = posted.
Good questions, great chance to vent. 😉
