One of the early Sunday Seven questions asked you to name your seven favorite Christmas songs. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, you probably also have a few holiday-themed songs that you wouldn’t mind not hearing each year.
One of mine, and it’s not technically a Christmas song but is always played during the season as though it were, is My Favorite Things. I despise this song because it has one of the most depressing melodies I’ve ever heard. Just my two cents.
- First to play last week: Carly of “Ellipsis.” Congratulations!
On to this week’s question!
THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:
Name seven of your least favorite Christmas (or holiday-themed) songs.
Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered “first to play,” a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.) You may include this link in the URL space when leaving your comment, or in the comment itself. As long as it’s there in one spot or the other.
1. My Favorite Things
2. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree
3. Santa Baby
4. Jingle Bell Rock
5. Little Saint Nick
6. Here Comes Santa Claus (the original version, which I’d like much better if it wasn’t sung as “Here comes Santie Claus”)
7. Feliz Navidad (which I’d like better if it had lyrics instead of repeating the same thing over and over)
