Sunday Seven – Episode 238

This week, Google did something it has never done before: it turned one of its “doodles,” the mock-ups of its logo designed to commemorate a special occasion, into something interactive.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the video game Pac-Man, Google’s doodle started as a representation of the Pac-Man game board, but after a few seconds, the familiar sound effects played and with the use of the arrow keys, users could actually play the game within the logo.

That put me in mind of video games, perhaps a good topic for this week’s edition of the Sunday Seven.

  • First to play last week: Mika of Euromerican. Congratulations!

Here is this week’s “Sunday Seven” question. Either answer in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your blog (with a link here), and then comment here with a link back to your blog so that everyone else can visit! Permission is not granted to copy the questions to message boards for the purpose of having members answer and play along there. Enjoy!

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:

Name your seven all-time favorite video games.

Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered “first to play,” a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.) You may include this link in the URL space when leaving your comment, or in the comment itself. As long as it’s there in one spot or the other.

    1. Sorry about that, Patricia. I got ’em and you’re up now. Once in a while, the comment system seems to misplace them into the Spam folder, but I can always get them back from behind the scenes. I’ll see if I can figure out why it’s doing that.

      Thanks for playing.
