Sunday Seven – Episode 247

Last Updated on December 9, 2019

The other day, I arrived home to find a phone book sitting on the sidewalk outside my door.

I honestly don’t remember the last time I used a phone book. I can look up numbers online, and even on my iPhone just as quickly, plus I get a map showing me exactly where the place I’m calling actually is.

I’m sure there are plenty of people who use phone books today, but it’s a shame you can’t opt out of getting them: I hate to be part of wasting that much paper, and for a book I’ll never open, it’s definitely a waste of paper.

But it got me thinking about obsolete things. Here’s a list of many common outmoded items. That list might help you with this week’s question as you search your home for forgotten or not-so-forgotten treasures.

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:
Name seven items you own that many might consider obsolete these days.

Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered “first to play,” a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.) You may include this link in the URL space when leaving your comment, or in the comment itself. As long as it’s there in one spot or the other.
