Hope You Had a Nice St. Paddy’s Day

Today at work, I paused from my marketing duties to send my annual reminder about St. Patrick’s Day.

You know the one: I’ve mentioned it here before.

It’s that the abbreviation of Patrick is Paddy, not Patty. You may well ask yourself why I’d wait until the day is over to mention such a point. But many weekend events will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

This means you may have a perfectly reasonable opportunity to abbreviate the day incorrectly between now and Sunday.

This Patrick, and others, hope you won’t.

So enjoy your green beer and parades, and remember: you have St. Patrick, or Paddy, to thank for the occasion.
