Your Turn: The Obama Presidency

Last Updated on January 27, 2017

The most recent Patrick’s Place Poll asked about how you’re feeling about the upcoming Obama administration.&nbsp  The results were interesting:

40% – Obama will change America for the worse

37% – Obama will change America for the better

23% – Obama will not change America in any appreciable way

I’d love to hear any specific views you have, regardless of your position on this question.

For those who think he’ll make things better, what do you think will be the single biggest improvement he makes?

If you think things will get worse because he’s president, what are you expecting him to do to drive us further in that “wrong direction” the Bush critics have been saying we’re already headed in?

And, if you fall into that third category, what do you think Obama’s biggest stumbling block to making positive change will be?

One last, perhaps even more critical question:&nbsp  do you think that McCain would have done a better or worse job,

  • As I recall, I voted for choice three, because I don’t look to the leaders of this country to change the country. That’s purely up to us, the citizenry. However, I do think that Obama inspires people to positive change, where the Republicans tend to inspire by fear. (IMHO, and all that)

Howevery, I clearly should have voted more than once, because I sure don’t think the country could BE in worse shape than we are already headed now!

I think McCain was the wrong choice for today. I’d’ve voted for the McCain who ran 4 or 8 years ago, though.
