As far as I can tell, the blog has now made the trip across the Information Superhighway to a new hosting company.  If you’re reading this, presumably, you’re seeing the blog at its new home.
But there are two ways to be sure: first, check the Patrick’s Place logo.  If you see a sunshine rather than a coffee mug, you’re at the new host.  (If you see a mug, refresh the page once.  That should do it.)  If you don’t see a logo at all, that may be a little minor glitch that is still being resolved.
The other way is even easier:  check the stripe of color at the top of the page: if it’s orange, you’re still at the old host’s server.  If it’s blue, you’re at the new server!
I hope that you have experienced no downtime over the weekend while the change was happening, and I am already seeing great improvements in terms of the speed of loading the site.
I think you will also have an easier time leaving comments, and I apologize if you were shut out as at least one of my readers has been over the past few days.  I am working very hard to make sure that never happens again:  one missed comment is too many!
Thanks for your patience, and I hope things run smoother at the blog’s new behind-the-scenes home.  If my first few days with the new hosting company, SpeedySparrow, is any indication, it will be smooth sailing for a long time to come!
Hey Patrick, nice new look!
No sunshine symbol but a pretty blue band.
Marked my 5th blogging anniversary by riding the space shuttle DISCOVERY. No, really. Sorta.
