Next #Bloggab (2/18): Critique Night X

Bloggab is a weekly Twitter chat about personal blogging. Join us each Tuesday night at 9pmET. You can always find transcripts of past editions here.

Our monthly Critique Night happens the third Tuesday of each month, and it’s a great way for bloggers to see through the eyes of a reader what the first impressions and immediate questions come from a visitor.

It’s a very simple process: we find three bloggers who are willing to serve as guinea pigs volunteers. Each of the three gets about fifteen minutes or so of free feedback from those who visit their blog. They can even respond to questions or suggestions if they wish.

It may seem a bit intimidating, but the feedback is constructive and positive, and many have told me they’ve put some of the suggestions aimed at other blogs into practice on their own blog! It’s a learning opportunity all the way around.

Here are this week’s three volunteer blogs. Please drop by these blogs and make some notes about what you like and anything you’d like to see but don’t, and be ready to join in the conversation tomorrow (Tue 2/18) at 9pmET.

The (Not Always) Lazy W
by @thelazyw
“For the love of friends & family, buffalo, horses, llamas, chickens, fresh honey, herbs & veggies, books, great food, perfect coffee and lasting romance.”
Together with Handsome, her husband of a dozen years and change, Marie runs a small, silly hobby farm in central Oklahoma… the (dirt-and-hooves) Lazy W. They are accidental animal collectors of one buffalo, horses, llamas, honey bees, chickens, geese, guineas, a barn cat named Fast Woman, and a parrot named Bobby Pacino. They are madly in love with each other and with this somewhat complicated, always surprising life they lead.
