Bloggab is a weekly chat devoted to personal blogging. Join us each Tuesday night at 9pm ET to talk about a variety of topics. Follow @patricksplace and @bloggab and be sure to be ready to chat every Tuesday.
Bloggab offers a mix of topics about personal every month. But we have two dedicated weeks designed to help everyone feel more at home and be part of the country.
The second Tuesday of every month is our “Open Mic” night, which means there’s no official topic, and everyone is welcome to bring their own questions to the table. They can even use the hour to network with other bloggers.
The third Tuesday of every month is our “Critique Night,” in which we ask for up to three volunteers who would like the group to take a look at their blog. We stress positive, constructive feedback.
It’s an interesting opportunity for a blogger to see true “first impressions” others have of their blogs. And what’s really amazing is how much people whose blogs aren’t even being critiqued can still learn from what’s being said.
So if you’d like to have your blog critiqued, please let me know via the Contact link at the very top of the page.
In the meantime, I hope you’ll make a point of joining us for Open Mic night!
If you’ve never been part of a Twitter chat, it’s simple: it requires a Twitter account, which should be obvious. You can then use sites like Nurph, Twubs, Tweetchat or Tweetdeck; they’ll ask you to log in to your Twitter account, then allow them to authorize their service to post for you. You’ll then enter the name of the chat, in this case, “Bloggab”, and the services will filter in all tweets that contain that hashtag. And you can type your message and the services will automatically add the hashtag for you, so there’s one less thing for you to worry about!
I hope you’ll join us Tuesday (5/13) at 9pmET!
