Next #Bloggab: Strategies for Increasing Blog Comments

Most bloggers have one key thing in common: we’re always looking for tricks to increase blog comments. This week’s #Bloggab chat will focus on what works well and what doesn’t if you want more conversation on your site.

If you missed last Tuesday night’s #Bloggab chat about where to find blog post ideas, you missed a great chat. Here’s the transcript of that chat, and towards the end of the transcript, you’ll see a list of ideas participants suggested in rapid-fire mode at the suggestion of Nathasha Alvarez.

This week, we’re talking about an equally-important aspect of blogging. Once you’ve got that great idea, how can you write in such a way to attract more comments? How do you bring more people into the conversations on your blog? Which tactics work and which ones might actually be turning would-be commenters from even leaving one? Can a commenting platform make a difference?

And, I’m sure that universally-hated phenomenon, captcha, will get a mention or two as well!

Have questions about increasing blog comments? Bring them on! Mark your calendars for this week’s #Bloggab, this Tuesday night at 9pm ET.

UPDATE: Check out the transcript from this edition of #Bloggab! Hope to see you next week!
