Here We Go Again

It has come to my attention that a certain website is directly copying two of my weekly memes, the Saturday Six and the Sunday Seven into a member forum, listing the questions word for word, and having its members play there instead of here.  Though there is one “sticky” post that contains a link to this blog, the administrators of that blog have not asked for and do not have my permission to repost in this manner.

Additionally, there is no implicit link to this blog with each weekly set of questions; indeed, if a member doesn’t read the one post in which the link appears, and comes just to answer the questions, they’d have no idea that the questions themselves aren’t being generated by that site itself.

This is a violation of the Terms of Use of this site.

If you happen to be a member of a forum and you have come here via a feed for the categories of these memes, be advised:  I will not hesitate to prepare a DMCA Takedown Notice that could cause the entire website to be suspended until my copyrighted content is removed.

To prevent this, I would strongly advise you to remove my content at once.

To those who play each week and follow the extraordinarily simple rules, I am very grateful.  I regret that I have to interrupt the proceedings here to deal with some occasional bad apples.

Over the next few days, I’ll be trying a few minor experiments to help identify current copyright issues and to potentially prevent future ones.  You might notice one or two of them, but I hope you won’t notice anything different at all.  If you do see something a little unexpected, please bear with me and let me know (via the contact button at the top taskbar) if you experience any problems.  Thanks for your patience.
