Sunday Seven – Episode 273

This week, talk show host Regis Philbin made news by announcing to his audience that he plans to retire from Live! with Regis and Kelly some time toward the end of the summer.

Almost immediately, speculation began flying about who should take the 79-year-old’s place.

What if you were in charge of the show, and you had to make a list of seven of the best possible candidates for your network bosses? If you could come up with some names to fill Philbin’s shoes, you’re ready for this week’s question!

Here is this week’s “Sunday Seven” question. Either answer in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your blog (with a link here), and then comment here with a link back to your blog so that everyone else can visit! Permission is not granted to copy the questions to message boards for the purpose of having members answer and play along there. Enjoy!

Name seven candidates you’d consider casting to replace Regis Philbin on his morning talk show.

Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered “first to play,” a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.) You may include this link in the URL space when leaving your comment, or in the comment itself. As long as it’s there in one spot or the other.

  • I honestly couldn't tell you… Beyond a quick appearance on Seinfeld, I've never seen the guy or his show. I like Jeff Goldblum, he's been great on Criminal Intent, but something tells me that's not the hot pick I'm hoping for.
