Last week, I asked people to name seven books they had recently purchased but hadn’t read, yet.
I must say that I was shocked by the response! I can’t believe there are so many people who read everything they buy so quickly after buying it. I think I fall into the category of having eyes that are larger than my attention span, but I’ll get to the books on my shelves eventually.
In any case, this week’s question will have you rushing to your pantry.
But first, Amanda of “School, Life, Kids…” was first to play last week. Congratulations, Amanda and thanks for pointing out my earlier mistake in listing someone else as the first to play last week…sorry about that!
THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:
Pull a couple of items off your pantry and cupboard shelves. Pick items that you eat fairly regularly. (You might be able to get seven answers from one single item, depending on what you choose.) Now list up to seven things in the Ingredients that you don’t recognize. It’s an interesting way to see what you’re eating…whether you like it or not!
Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered “first to play,” a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.)
My answers:
1. Guar Gum
2. Xanthan Gum
3. Sodium Caseinate
4. Silicon Dioxide
5. Yellow #5
6. Sodium Tripolyphosphate
7. Acesulfame K
Wow! That’s a nice help for the old appetite!!
