Brokaw Fights Back

Tom Brokaw told critics over the weekend that Michael Moore was off base in his assertion that the news media failed in their obligation to cover relevant issues leading up to the war in his film, “Fahrenheit 9/11.”

“If you do a fair review, we gave a very vigorous accounting of what was known and what was not known at the time,” said Brokaw. “The American news networks and the newspapers for the most part did as well as they could under the circumstances.”

Moore’s film, said Brokaw, “took a lot of liberties not just with the facts but with how you arrange the facts.”

How many of Kerry’s supporters would curse any news agency they thought did the same thing to make Bush look good?
