Here we are, just two days into the Weight Watchers PointsPlus diet and I already have good news: I’m down five pounds.
Don’t scoff at it. I know what you’re thinking, the first 10 pounds or so are easy for guys to lose. And yes, you’d be right.
The point is that I’m taking steps to actually do this “easy” thing. As opposed to the past year or so, during which it seems I’ve done far more to gain.
As predicted, by losing a few pounds, I have also lost two daily points that I am allowed to consume. That shouldn’t be a problem: I ate some definite non-diet foods on Saturday and still managed to end the day with two daily points left. And I have yet to dip into my weekly point allowance. I’m going to do my best not to, but I know that sooner or later, I will. (That’s what they’re designed for, after all, so when I do, I’m not going to beat myself up about it.)
