A co-worker said it very well the other day: it seems like the days are just dragging along lately, but that the year is speeding by.
There are a mere 60 days left in the year. Five dozen days and we’re already ringing in 2011. I won’t even ask about all of those goals we secretly made at the start of 2010. (I say goals, because most of us gave up on the concept of resolutions years ago.)
We make our priorities and then life happens. Things hit us right out of the blue that make us shift our priorities. What was once the most important thing in our lives, the single motivation that most strongly made us spring up from our beds each morning, suddenly becomes not so important after all. And something we never saw coming smacks us right upside the head.
And we glance up at the calendar and note that time, in more ways than one, grows short.
We still have two months to tackle those remaining unmet goals we decided on ten months ago. Are we game?
