My 10 Favorite Cookie Flavors
For this week’s top 10 list, I thought I’d devote it to a topic that’s near and dear to most of us: favorite cookie flavors. Diet or not, we all have them!
I’m imagining a walk down the cookie store aisle — at a grocery store that also stocks unlikely choices like Girl Scout Cookies, too. Here are the 10 I’d be most likely to put in my shopping cart.
1. Oreo Lemon Creme Cookies
I’m not necessarily a huge fan of Oreo’s apparent obsession to produce every conceivable cookie flavor, but these little things are amazing.
2. Chocolate Chip Cookies
Your regular basis chocolate chip cookie should be near the top of everyone’s list.
3. Girl Scout Thin Mints
I’ve always liked these little chocolate mint cookies, but this is another one of those flavors that I have to limit myself with or else I’ll finish the box in one sitting. (Provided there’s enough milk, too!)
4. Nutter Butter
The peanut-shaped peanut butter cookies are fantastic…especially dipped in milk.
5. Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies
This take on the traditional oatmeal raisin cookie packs a slightly tangier flavor and is one I’ll always have a hard time passing up.
6. White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies
For a while, these didn’t do much for me. Maybe I’d had a less successful recipe the first time around. But on a whim, I tried one once and immediately wondered what I’d been thinking in letting so many others of this variety go by!
7. Butter Cookies
Sometimes, less is more, and that’s the case with the plain butter cookie.
8. Nilla Wafers
Granted, these are sensational in a banana pudding, but they’re good in small doses by themselves as well.
9. Animal Crackers
I’m not sure what it is about these — maybe it’s nostalgia alone — but they take me back to being a kid at my grandmother’s house.
10. Oreo Double Stuff
If I’m going to eat a “regular” Oreo, at least give me a little extra filling!
Those are my top 10 favorite cookie flavors. Now imagine it’s time for dessert and there’s a tray of cookies headed your way.
