And the winner is…
The completely unscientific Patrick’s Place Poll indicates that 63% of people who participated trust Democrats most when it comes to creating a health care reform plan that best meets their needs.
That doesn’t bode well for Republicans, who are determined to try to repeal the Democrats’ plan as soon as they get enough numbers to do so. Republicans, incidentally, received only 4% of the vote.
A third of voters say they don’t trust either side to come up with a plan that will meet their needs.
That’s a pretty sad commentary on how trusted our politicians are.
Not remotely a surprise, but a sad commentary nonetheless.
The Patrick’s Place Poll, incidentally, is always on the sidebar, and there is usually more than one question rotating at the same time. If you’ve already voted in the displayed poll, try refreshing to see if a poll you haven’t voted in appears. If not, check back by soon: we’ll make more!
Where do you get the fantastic graphics, Patrick?
It’s not a surprise that voters generally trust Democrats for social issues, especially after the reign of King George I. Corporatism is on the fast track in America, and the “other” 90% are paying a very high tariff for it. There is a general feeling that it is the “little guy’s turn”. Politics can only go so far as the pendulum swings, after all. It looks like your poll is a pretty reasonable sample of the cross-section.
Thanks, Bud.
For graphics I can’t come up with on my own, I try to use sites like morguefile.com, which is free, or in this case, istockphoto.com, which isn’t.
Still, I think they add enough to the blog that it’s worth it!
