The Economy’s Mental Toll

While we’re on the subject of suicide from the last post, the economy is wreaking major havoc on people’s mental health.

Sure, that’s not really a surprise. It’s stressful when you’re dealing with rising bills and falling savings.

But consider this:

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay has reported a 122% increase this year in calls from people considering ending their life. Sixty percent of those callers say they were experiencing economic stress.
