Movie mogul George Lucas apparently isn’t content with the enormous number of actors, actresses and wannabes out there, so he’s buying film rights for performers who are no longer with us.

That word comes from the British tabloid The Sun, so there’s automatically a little room for doubt.

But if so, this may represent the first time a well-known director has actually begun the process required to cast long-gone thespians with today’s flashes in the pan.

Come on, George: let them rest in peace. If you want to revisit once-popular roles, just make a prequel. But this time, leave Jar Jar Binks out of it.
