I don’t know what I’ll be watching tonight at 9:00pm, but there’s one thing I know I will definitely not be watching…out of spite: The TV Land Awards.
Not that I have anything against the hilarious Betty White, who is making an appearance, or the cast of Everybody Loves Raymond, which is also listed. No, my problem with this program is about something else: the promos for it!
I’ve watched TV Land for a good bit of the afternoon, enjoying episodes of The Andy Griffith Show in the background while I’ve been cleaning house.
But in every commercial break — wait: let me say that again just so we’re clear:
In…every…commercial…break…
they’ve been running the same promo for the show. Every break. Over and over again.
It’s practically an invitation to change the channel. It’s definitely an invitation to watch anything but that overly-promoted show, which is on tonight at 9.
(I mention that last part for the people who haven’t had it beaten into their heads all evening.)
If you’re watching, thank you. After all of that overkill promo time, I’m glad somebody is.

I was just complaining to Alan this afternoon about that! Ugg… no one likes a nag… right? I will be recording Desperate Housewives on the DVR but watching Celebrity Apprentice. Seriously, C.A. is a lot better then I imagined it would be. If you are looking for an alternative to TV LAND give it a whirl. You might actually enjoy it. If not, you can boycott my blog! LOL! Happy Viewing!!
