There’s that famous billboard that features a photo of President George W. Bush with the phrase,“Miss me, yet?” Though it’s hard to imagine, I suppose there are those who do.
But this fall, they’ll get a major dose of Ol’ George.
The former president is releasing his memoir, Decision Points, about the key choices he has made in his personal and professional life. The book is set to come out just a few days after Election Day, which could be a problem for Republicans: you can expect a nearly-endless publicity tour for the book just at the time the candidates in a variety of races are making their final push for your vote and hoping you won’t remember any of the controversies of the past, particularly if they involve their party.
Matt Lauer has landed the first post-presidency interview of Bush. That conversation is slated to air on November 8th, and Bush will then appear live on Today on November 10th. Bush’s book comes out on November 9th.
By Thanksgiving, some of us will be just as tired of Bush as we were the day he left office.
