If there were an award for ‘America’s Most Annoying Commercial,’ Peloton would certainly be crowned the winner at the moment.
I’ve never used a piece of Peloton brand exercise equipment. And after hearing their annoying commercial for their exercise bike, if I never do, I won’t be too upset.
The spot features what I later learned is a real song. (Silly me, I thought they just intentionally engineered the most mind-numbing noise they could come up with to get attention.)
The song, titled “On to the Next,”  is performed by Jay Z. It features lyrics that would not agree with my language guidelines on this blog, so I won’t bother posting them.
The actual spot doesn’t feature the inappropriate lyrics, but if you’re up for watching this :30 commercial, you’ll surely know why it ranks about a 150 on the annoyance meter:
Has a commercial that aggravates you ever made you want to not do business with a company? This one certainly has.
One of the comments on the YouTube page sums it up quite well:
If i see this ad one more time [I’m] gonna kill myself
I’m going to assume that they’re kidding, but I can certainly understand the sentiment.
Here’s another comment:
Someone please erase that song from the universe especially my memory
Agreed.
Unfortunately, some cable channels I watch run this spot often. I may have to switch to Hulu until this one burns out.
If Hulu starts playing it, I’ll just have to sit with my finger on the mute button.
