The 38th season of The Price is Right begins one week from today. FremantleMedia, the company that now owns and produces the show, just launched a new website, priceisright.com, and there’s a sneak peek at what’s new.
Changes will include a new “home base,” brand new LED readouts on the old Contestants Row displays and plasma screens to display bids in the final showcase round.
‘Price’ is one of those rare shows that has thrived on its near-complete lack of change. But with a new host and a mostly-new producing team, we’re left with the old “fresh minds, fresh ideas” mentality.
Personally, I don’t hate what they’re changing, but I definitely miss the old days.
